MCT - Marine Combat Training Bn. - Camp GeigerMarine Combat Training (MCT) - MCT is for non-infantry Marines and has a length of 29 days (1 day of forming + 28 days of training). The training consists of basic weapons instruction. Following MCT the non-infantry Marines will be shipped directly to their MOS school. The length and location of their MOS school will vary based on their assigned MOS. |

ITB - Infantry Training Battalion. - Camp GeigerInfantry Training Battalion (ITB) - ITB is for infantry Marines and has a length of 59 days. The first portion of training consists of basic weapons instruction. After a certain point the infantry Marines will split into groups according to their MOS: Rifleman, Machinegunner, Mortarman, Assaultman, or Anti-tank Guided Missileman. The Marines will change squad bays, but not bases as they move into the second half of training. |
