Marine OCS....help!

My boyfriend is seriously considering the Marines. If you ask me, there is no doubt in my mind that he will join. He wants to join through OCS, since he will get his degree December 2010. He will be done with all of his course work in May 2009, but will have to complete his student teaching next fall.

Would it be possible for him to enroll in the OCS session for May of 2009, graduate from that, finish his student teaching in the fall, and then go to TBS? I read something about a...

PLC question

So my cousin was telling me some stuff the other day about enlisting and what not. After what he told me and the research i'vs done he is going into PLC ( he told me OCS but what he said to me had nothing to do with OCS) He is a sophmore in college and the question i have is he is being told that he will be skipping boot camp, that doesn't sound right to me at all considering boot camp is where you become a marine. Maybe i'm crazy but could someone please shed some light on this...

So im going to become a reservist and still go to college so that I can go the officer route and still be a Marine. I was told that as long as I do at least one sessions of the classes that I wont be called to active duty no matter what happens to my unit because the officer is the priority. Is that true?

My husband is still on IRR but he is thinking about going back in as an officer. One question we cannot get an answer to is will I (as his wife) be covered by Tricare while he is at OCS?

I saw several posts in this area about Marine Enlisted Commissioning Program and I was wondering if there is a good place that a parent can go to find out about the Marine Enlisted Commissioning Program. Out son is a PFC currently attending advanced training at SOI (West). He is yet to be deployed or even get into the Fleet

My son was accepted into the Officer Training Program. is at Quantico./ His training is called PLT -Platoon Leadership Training.

He left Saturday and is there now. Does anyone know about this or know a site I can visit to find out what they do as training?

Anyone out there who has Marine candidates or candidates now attending the 1st segment of PLC. They reported in on June 27,2007 with grad date slated for 7/06/2007. Lets communicate here. We are planning on going over to Quantico to see and side trips after to Washington, DC.
Ours is a Marine reservist, he graduated PI on 25 August, 2006. Plt. 1064, Alpha Co. 1st RTB.

Just wondering if any of you have any more helpful information regarding OCS? My husband is currently Enlisted but has been told by many Marines that he should consider OCS. We are interested in the idea but have had a really hard time finding any concrete information about it. Any ideas? Thanks a bunch in advance! Have a great week.

This program allows students to complete the requirements for Marines commission without interrupting your academic career. For college freshman and sophomores, PLC is two six-week training sessions at the Marine Corps Officer Candidate School in Quantico, Virginia. Juniors attend a 10-week session. I was just wondering if you have any info about OCS/TBS. I found their websites a while back but I can't seem to get back to them. My husband is currently enlisted and I couldn't find much info on prior enlisted going to OCS which he plans to do after he graduates from college. Any ideas?

My hubsband is enlisted right now as we currently live at Camp Pendleton but I know that when he finishes his degree (2005) he really wants to look at reenlisting into OCS to be commisioned.
