I have a question abouto mp school at camp lenerdwood. when the marines are there do they got to use their phones on a more regular basis then at mct?? and would i be allowd to visit?? not often obviously because i know he has to focus on his training but if i wanted to visit once i was just wondering?? also do they get liberty every weekend and can they leave the base during their liberty.

MECEP Timeline Question

I didn't know where to put this, but I wanted to know if anyone knows about the MECEP timeline?

My hubby put his MECEP package in and last tuesday(Oct. 27th) the board met up at Headquarters in Quantico. In the MARADMIN it says they meet for 2 weeks, but him/me are curious as to when they announce who got accepted into the program?? We are waiting and patiently awaiting for good news!!!

If anyone has any infor it would be greatly appreciated! I tried searching but had...

Can anyone tell me if they get liberty for Thanksgiving? If so does anyone know how much time off they get? I have heard from other Marine wives that they will get liberty. Thanks for the help!

How Do I Change The Time Zone on Yuku?

Click the Navigation button at the top right corner of the page,
Click Settings,
Click Time Zone,
Then from the selection, choose the one for your time zone....example: since I live in the Eastern Time Zone mine is (GMT -5 hrs) for Standard Time and (GMT -4 hrs) for Daylight Saving Time
Click Submit

Is underarmour or thermal underwear allowed at ITB?

Is there any kind of insulated under-clothing allowed at ITB? I am wondering how they deal with the cold winter temperatures, especially if they are on the wet ground, etc.

I HAVE A QUESTION REGARDING ABSENTEE BALLOTS. HOW CAN THEY (MARINES) VOTE WHILE AT SOI?

MY SON VOTES EVERY ELECTION, BUT IT DOESN'T LOOK LIKE HE WILL BE ABLE TO CAST HIS VOTE FOR THIS NEXT ELECTION IN OUR HOME STATE OF VIRGINIA. DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THEY HAVE ALREADY BEEN ABLE TO TAKE CARE OF THIS?

My son is shortly leaving for deployment. His great-grandmother isn't expected to make it through this night. My question is this...
If I contact red cross, since it is a great grandmother will he be granted leave? I am not sure what to do since he will be leaving very soon for deployment. I read that it is immediate family and unsure if great grandmother would be considered. I'm afraid of finding out he will not be able to make it home and yet knows she has passed or is...

Friend not writing

Our friend whom we have just reconnected with within the last few months has stopped answering our emails. Because we are not a military family we don't know what the reasons could be. He is a Marine in Okinawa. Could it be an internet problem , having to go somewhere suddenly and not telling us or MAYBE he just chooses not to write anymore. Please help with any ideas you may have. We are starting to worry big time, especially my daughter.

Dumb Question

OK, I usually don't buy into media driven hysteria but I am starting to get concerned about this swine flu thing. I went to the CDC (Center for Disease Control) site after listening to the news all week and I am wondering if our Corps is innoculating our Marines. They fall into the age group with the highest percentages of infection. It seems to me that an occurence in barracks living would rapidly spread. Does anyone know if they are getting vaccinated?
