Rhonda...I have NEVER heard of that many guests at a first birthday party! Between you and me, I find myself wondering if some people who were invited (the ones who aren't immediate family or very close friends) are asking themselves WHY they're spending a Saturday at a party that the child is too young to even remember. You, of course, have the right attitude telling yourself you're going to go for the experience. I think you're a better person than me! Now, that get-together for high school friends this evening...THAT'S more MY cup of tea. Good for you for taking the initiative to do the second annual get-together. Bet you'll have a great time.
Bonnie...glad your injection is working and that your parents are doing better. I can imagine the wedding seems pretty close now when the kids are addressing their "Save the Date" cards. BTW...did they end up going with the original venue. I remember the talk in the car last month about maybe checking out a couple of other places. Your auction sounded FANTASTIC! I know it has to be a huge relief to know it was a success as far as raising funds goes, and you certainly have some really original selections in the auction.
Rhonda...thanks for that vote of confidence with regard to the aprons. As for "selling" them...yes, Ann could probably do that. But take a closer look at the one I made (the rooster/egg one) a little closer and you'll see some really appalling stitches! Nope...I think my sewing skills are only suitable for family and close friends!
Jordan, Lucy, and I went to Panera for dinner tonight. It's just a mile or so away and we walked in and there was my sister Priscilla with a g'friend. They were having dinner because a movie they went to see was sold out. It was so funny to run into my sister spur of the moment like that. Perpsie is WONDERFUL with Lucy...she's babysat her a couple times overnight and Lucy absolutely loves her. Priscilla's friend is undergoing chemo treatments, but she looked really good and it was nice to see and hear from her that she's doing ok. Turns out she doesn't live that far from me, which explains how come we ran into them. Before we left the house for dinner Lucy and I had told Jordan that he was going to have to have a timeout when we get back because he left his workboots in the living room. Then we did a semi-cheer that emphasized that she and I are a T-E-A-M TEAM!!! Well, since she had teams and timeouts on her brain when we got to Panera, she proceeded to tell her Aunt Perpsie that Grandma Mary Jo and her are a T-E-A-M, TEAM and that Uncle Jordan has to get a timeout when we get back. I thought Priscilla and Sandra were going to fall off their chairs laughing!
Edited to say, "thank you" to Tracey and Bonnie...and you too, Paul, now that the U-M football season is officially over! Thanks for not bringing up all those miserable losses--especially today's! You are TRUE friends!
