I have a favor to ask of everyone. My mom is trying to raise money to get a hair restoration done to the back of her head from having a brain tumor at a young age. Luckily, she was able to battle the cancer and survive but it left her with horrible side effects (balance, loss of hair, ear issues, etc.) Back then, they didn't have all the technology and resources as they do today, so for years and years she has dealt with not having any hair back there, not being able to wear a ponytail, or go swimming without hair being tied down, not being able to go to a hair salon to have her hair done, having to always bring something to tie her hair down with when she goes out just in case it's windy, or to just play around with her hair for the heck of it.
You really can't tell that she has other side effects because she is always smiling and you can't tell she is missing any hair unless she shows you; which, she never has, not even to most of her brothers and sisters (She's a family of 14)… Until just recently she published a blog and told her entire story (half of the things she talked about, I had no idea and have even MORE respect and love for my mom!) I know this was very hard for her to do, it actually took 1 month until she finally published it, but she uploaded pictures and a video. She has a gofundme page to where she is accepting any type amount donations. There is a giveaway she is hosting next month as well, as a little incentive to hopefully draw more people in or have more people spread the word to others. We have been trying to get more people to check out her blog to read her story, and donate to her page but it is not as easy as it seems… if any of you can please donate, or even if you can't, just spread the word to other people (email, Facebook, twitter, google+, wherever) and read her story, so she can have her only dream and wish come true, I know that would mean more to her than she could ever express!! Thank you for taking your time to reading this and hopefully her story. And if you donated, thank you for helping my mom, it makes me happy to know she will be smiling on the inside just as much as she does on the outside.
